In order to reach out beyond the means of its small congregation, St. Paul's works
in partnership with others on many levels. Locally Troy Christian Council: St. Pauls participates in the work of the Troy Christian Council, sharing in supporting Harvest House Food Pantry, the World Day of Prayer, and Lenten Luncheons. Joseph and Sandy Windwalker: St. Paul's has acted as a sponsor for this Native American couple so that they can receive a Golden Rule grant to help in their ministry of education on Native American and environmental topics. Diocese of Bethlehem Participation on Diocesan Committees At various times, members of St. Paul's have served on several diocesan commities among them Diocesan Council and Christian Education. Participation in Diocesan ingatherings at Convention Each year the Episcopal Church Women make a collection of items for some specific outreach need. Local parishes gather in the items, some of which go to the diocesan ingathering. The rest are distributed locally. Support for Diocesan projects with our partner diocese, Kajo Keji, Sudan Members of St. Paul's have recently taken part in The Twelve Days of Christmas for Kajo Keji, a collection of items for the schools sponsored by that diocese and the New Hope Campaign, which was created to fund ministries in Kajo Keji and Northeast Pennsylvania. Nationally Members are encouraged to contribute annually tothe Episcopal Relief and Development Fund a worldwide relief agency which provides resources and funds for those suffering from disasters Internationally St. Paul's provides continuing support for Dan and Debra Fitzgerald, Wycliffe missioners to the Bakka Pygmies in Cameroon. Semi-annual ingathering for the United Thank Offering helps support the agency's grants for special projects around the world. |
