The Windows of St. Paul's St. Paul's is blessed to have very beautiful windows over the altar and The behind the font at the rear of the nave. Our thanks go to the families of prominent early matriarchs and patriarchs of the parish, who provided them for the glory of God. We also give thanks to and for Francis Kisner, whose persistence has provided us with these pictures. Above the Altar In an oval pane with a triptych beneath, t he window above the altar presents us with symbols of the origins of our faith. At the top, within an oval framework, stands Jesus as the Good Shepherd. Below him on the left are Moses and Isaiah, representing the law and the prophets. In the center stands the patron of the parish, St. Paul. On the right are St. John and St. Stephen, representing the Apostles and martyrs. Behind the Font The Nativity Window behind and above the font has a round upper pane with a diptych below, showing the Adoration of the Shepherds. At the top is the Herald Angel, proclaiming "Glory to God in the highest." The Holy Family are seen on the right. On the left, shepherds and an angel worship the infant king. |
